Wellesley Centenary

We feel very privileged to have had designer Amanda Mallett as a parent of Wellesley College, and to work with her intensely as she brought our requirements to fruition.

We celebrated our Centenary in 2014, and not only was she the lead creative in a team of three very capable design parents (tasked with various design expressions for the big celebration), but she became an indispensable sage with insights into many areas. She was our creative glue.

And all of this she did willingly as a volunteer, but which resulted in a commission later in the year for The Wellesley College Foundation Scholarship Campaign.

Amanda was able to be briefed formally and informally on tasks that required vision and understanding of the school, its history, its culture and express them simply and boldly. She did all of this with total sensitivity and delivered on time despite difficult schedules.

She helped us in the Development Office and Centenary Committee upskill around design initiatives and answer important questions on any aspect relating to design .She was our teacher and stewarded us through the process seamlessly.

As a result of her wonderful Centenary work, we commissioned Amanda to design the visual identity of the scholarship campaign. She was able to short list for selection three brilliant designs, the one chosen being the outstandingly clear choice. We are now using this identity across all digital and print mediums in our Campaign.

I would recommend Amanda wholeheartedly for not only her design aesthetic, but her professionalism and vision.
